New Accountant for Small Business - We can help you change

We meet a lot of small business owners who tell us that they aren't entirely happy with their current accountant or bookkeeper.

Complaints can include:

  • No fixed pricing packages
  • Accountants who are not up to date with the latest tax legislation
  • Accountants and bookkeepers who are not up to date with the latest technology
  • Not getting the right advice or answers in plain English
  • Missed deadlines
  • Little or no management accounts
  • Poor value for money
  • Being made to feel unimportant

When challenged why they are continuing to use the same accountant after any of the above complaints, we are often met with a response that it is too difficult to change despite the fact that it is costing money and unnecessary worry.

Many feel obliged to stay with their current unsatisfactory accountant out of a sense of misplaced loyalty.

The reality is that like any other service you purchase for your business, you should always focus on getting the right service at the right price and to build a healthy, productive business relationship that you can rely on.

Changing accountants or bookkeepers is much easier than you think and Transform Accounting can help you make this change. We can even help with a template for a letter to send to your current accountant to inform them of your decision to switch to Transform Accounting, and we can take it from there.

Do not be concerned if your accountant currently stores your financial records, it is usually only a small amount of paperwork that may need to be transferred to us. It is unusual for HMRC VAT inspectors to require access to records older than 3 years and there is no requirement for accountants or businesses to hold financial records for longer than 6 years.
